As a young man I sprayed many a car out in the open in my parents driveway. I chose a simple method for finishing my car for that reason but the results are far below what I was going for. My goal was to get the garage up, tape and paint the car and get it torn down again over the long Labor day weekend. I was doing this paint job in suburbia where they don't take kindly to temporary structures staying up for months at a time. No painter in their right mind would attempt to get a quality paint job with that big a swing in temperature. I had a 30 degree temperature variable while trying to paint my car.
